Action A: People around Mayfield may find things missing from their garages today. Since Barton doesn't have much money thanks to her volunteer "job", and the fact that being a girl (even if she doesn't look much like one) makes getting stuff from the hardware store difficult, she's decided to take things from around the neighborhood.

if your garage is unattended, expect things to be gone. You might even catch her in the act. She won't take anything that looks out of place for Mayfield - it's probably someone's regain, she figures, and will leave it - but being from the early 1920s, she might be mixed up sometimes, and an important tool might have disappeared. She's looking for tools and pieces of scrap metal and wood. If you do happen to be in your garage, she'll quietly get your attention with a "Hey."

Action B: At 457 Stone Street, Barton has retreated to her own garage, and is hard at work. A large, blue German Shepard sleeps soundly on the floor nearby as she sketches up some plans, shapes some planks of wood, or looking several sheets of metal and thinking. Maybe you're curious as to what she's up to, or maybe you chased the trail down and want to confront the thief.

[At the sound of the voice in her garage (she was coming to get the extra soda, sheesh), Chane doubles back, loudly unsheathing one of the knives on her person, which she hoped would serve as a warning in place of her voice.]

[Really? A knife? It takes a lot to frighten Barton, and that won't do it. When she speaks, it's mostly flat, but mildly exasperated.]

[Soul was on his way out, but that quiet little "hey" gets his attention. He looks over his shoulder and turns around, giving Barton a wave]

[he rubs the back of his neck in thought as he looks around the garage]

I don't think anyone is going to miss a few tools. No idea where they are though.

[he nods his head, motioning for Barton to come look with him.]

(Engie decided to just check on Barton, just to see how he was going on with his project. So after work, you'll see Engie at Barton's house. With the garage door open, it's easy to spot all the bits of metal and wood lying around.)

[Doof was passing through the garage to grab himself a screwdriver from the tool box. And... what was Barton up to, exactly? He stepped around her carefully, eyeballing the pile of scrap and bits all the while.]

...what are you trying to make, exactly?

[He's too wary for this to be an Approving Fatherly Statement. This is more of a You're Elbowing In On My Shtick, Kid statement.]

Now, about a month later, he's finally gotten around to returning it the garage. He nearly jumps when he spots an intruder, but soon relaxes when he recognizes her. ]
